SLA uses the Jump Math curriculum which focuses on five strands of math: Number Sense, Measurement, Geometry and Spatial Sense, Patterning and Algebra, Data Management, and Probability. To enrich the rote practice and learning encompassed in the work books, SLA also offers time with manipulatives and practice with computation sheets. An additional oral element to the math program builds on the rote learning and allows students to ‘show what the know’. Specialized remedial/enrichment programs are also available for students who may be struggling or need to be challenged.
