SLA is actively searching for a new Bus Driver (Class B license) and French Teacher for Grades K to 8 to join our team. 

French Teacher Position: FT Position 8:00-3:30 M-F Grades K to 8 (2024-25 School Year)

Salary:  Starting at $42,000.00  

Mandatory:  French Speaking and teaching/tutoring experience. 

Assets/Qualifications and Experience

• OCT certification is an asset (If you have applied for your OCT, are on a temporary OCT certificate, or are graduating in the near future, you are welcome to apply now.)

• Qualifications in FSL French, Primary, Junior, Intermediate

  Special Education, AIM Language Learning and 'On Y Va' Program knowledge  (Training available)

Supply Teacher: Grades K to 8 (Immediate)

Salary:  $160.00/day

Bus Driver Position: PT Position 6:45-8:15 and 3:25 - 4:55 (4 hours/day) with additional hours for School Field Trips and excursions (Immediate)

Salary: $22/hour

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • A class B Bus Driver's License 

  • Up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Check

  • References: SLA requires letters from your current and two most recent direct supervisors. If your experience is in a day-to-day occasional capacity ensure that you list the length of time that you worked for that Supervisor and whether the assignment was casual day-to-day or in a long-term occasional capacity.

  • Placement Teacher References: If providing a Placement Teacher as a reference, SLA will require confirmation and approval from the Principal at the Placement School that the deferred reference (Placement Teacher) is approved to provide reference on behalf of the Principal.  SLA does not accept colleague or personal references.

  • Selection Process: Applicants will be selected for an interview based on school preferences, specific qualifications, and/or availability. These applicants will then be invited to visit the school and interview in person or, should the applicant live a distance that makes meeting in person impossible, a zoom link can be provided upon request. Interviews typically include a panel of two (2) Hiring Managers. The SLA selection process includes a review of required qualifications, an interview and assessment process, and reference checks.
