Learning that lasts a lifetime...
At St. Lawrence Academy, academics are more than lessons and textbooks—they’re a carefully crafted experience designed to help every child thrive. With intentionally small class sizes, our teachers are able to truly know their students, offering individualized attention, timely support, and learning that meets each child where they are. This approach allows students to build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, and problem-solving while developing confidence and independence along the way.
Our learning environment is calm, structured, and engaging, allowing students to focus deeply and feel safe taking risks, asking questions, and exploring new ideas. From hands-on science to rich language activities, creative arts, and meaningful real-world connections, our academic program encourages curiosity and inspires a genuine love of learning.
At SLA, we believe every student has unique strengths waiting to be discovered—and our mission is to help them grow, succeed, and reach their fullest potential.
Programs

S.A.I.L.S
Intentional skill-building across literacy, numeracy, social development and independence. This program emphasizes nurturing curiosity, developing emotional readiness, and building the foundational habits that support success for the future.

Foundations
Reinforcing and deepening core academic skills, students work in small environments where instruction can be personalized, allowing them the time they need to truly master essential concepts before moving on.

Acceleration
Once students have the basics firmly in place, the pace increases, by matching the speed at which they are able to learn. Exploring more complex writing, multi-step math, and personal accountability are key concepts.

Application
From theory to practice. Students begin applying skills across real-world tasks and integrated subject work, developing maturity in their thinking and independence.

High School Prep
Students practice managing their own workload, organizing assignments, meeting deadlines, and developing effective study routines. Personal responsibility becomes a major focus—students learn to advocate for themselves, ask questions, and reflect on their learning progress.
